AUDARTGALLERY.COM
IS PLEASED TO
PRESENT THE ONLY TRUE RECORD OF "TEN YEARS AFTER: THE WARHOL FACTORY",
WHICH TOOK PLACE AT THE AUDART GALLERY IN NEW YORK CITY. THIS
ARCHIVE IS UNIQUE TO THE AUDART EXHIBITION, AND WAS NOT CREATED USING
MATERIALS FROM "OUT
OF THE SHADOW: ARTISTS OF THE WARHOL CIRCLE, THEN AND NOW", AN
EXHIBITION
WHICH TOOK PLACE SIX MONTHS EARLIER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF
DELAWARE.
"TEN YEARS AFTER: THE WARHOL FACTORY", UNLIKE THE DELAWARE EXHIBITION, COMMEMORATED A HIGHLY SIGNIFICANT MILESTONE -- THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF ANDY WARHOL'S DEATH. "TEN YEARS AFTER: THE WARHOL FACTORY" WAS CURATED THROUGHOUT THE MANY ROOMS OF THE AUDART GALLERY, WITH A SEPARATE EXHIBITION GALLERY FOR EACH OF THE ARTISTS. THIS ABUNDANCE OF SPACE ALLOWED THE CURATOR, DR. DEBRA MILLER, TO BRING IN ADDITIONAL WORKS OF ART, MANY THAT HAD NOT BEEN SEEN IN THE DELAWARE EXHIBITION. IN ADDITION TO "THE ARTISTS OF THE WARHOL CIRCLE", THE PHOTOGRAPHER, LAURA RUBIN, WAS INVITED TO TAKE PART AND HER PORTRAITS ASSOCIATED WITH ANDY WARHOL'S FACTORY, WERE ON DISPLAY. AUDART HOSTED AND CO-PRODUCED "TEN YEARS AFTER: THE WARHOL FACTORY". FOUR MONTHS WERE SPENT PREPARING THE GALLERY SPACE FOR THE SHOW. THE OPENING NIGHT FESTIVITIES DREW A CROWD OF OVER 5000 PEOPLE, BREAKING ALL RECORDS IN NEW YORK CITY FOR ATTENDANCES AT AN ART OPENING. "TEN YEARS AFTER: THE WARHOL FACTORY" WAS IN PLACE FOR OVER TWO MONTHS AND WAS VIEWED DAILY BY AUDART'S WALL STREET VISITORS. |
